Research assistant and Ph.D candidate

 


Vincenzo Elia holds an LL.B. and LL.M. degree from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna (Italy), where he completed a five-year study cycle in 2017. During this period, he had the opportunity to study at University Paris X - Nanterre (France) for an academic year. As part of his studies, he specialized in EU and international law with a research dissertation written on "Convergences et divergences entre le droit administratif européen et le droit administrative global".

Then, he continued his studies by integrating in 2017 the Master 2 Careers in European Law of the University Grenoble-Alpes (France), where he was admitted with a scholarship of excellence IDEX. As part of this Master, he specialized in European governance with a research dissertation on "Le lobbying dans l’Union européenne". During the Master he also completed a research internship in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (AFSJ) within the Centre d’études sur la sécurité internationale et les coopérations européennes (CESICE) of the University Grenoble-Alpes.

Since October 2018 he is a research assistant at the Centre d’études juridiques européennes (CEJE) of the University of Geneva with Professor Christine Kaddous. He notably supervises the European Union law and European Internal Market courses and gives his support to the preparation of the University of Geneva team for the European Law Moot Court Competition. Finally, he also carries out a Ph.D. in the field of the law of external relations of the European Union.
